Varun Dhawan-Kriti Sanon starrer “Bhediya” is the third instalment in Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy universe. Two flicks in the franchise Stree (2018) and Roohi (2021) have been released, it has been a commercially successful franchise having grossed a combined Rs 210 crore against a combined Rs 40 crore budget.
Bhediya is directed by Amar Kaushik, known for directing the films like Stree and Bala. It is bankrolled by Vijan under his banner of Maddock Films and Jio Studios.
BHEDIYA RELEASE DATE
Bhediya is all set to hit cinemas worldwide on 25 November 2022. As the release date of the flick is just 2 months away, the promotions have started. Recently Varun and Kriti were spotted in the city on Sept 29th for the promotion of their film, Varun was seen donning casuals while Kriti went for a bodycon dress.
The leads also keep sharing videos and pictures on social media handles, adding more fuel to the excitement. The pre-release promo or trailer 2 is intriguing:
STAR CAST OF BHEDIYA
Along with Varun and Kriti, it also has Hindi Medium, Tanu Weds Manu film series fame Deepak Dobriyal and Rang De Basanti, Stree, Bala fame Abhishek Banerjee. The shooting of Bhediya was concluded on July 2021 and set in Arunanchal Pradesh. As per the reports, over 70% of the artists in Bhediya are from Arunanchal Pradesh. Reports also state that Arunanchal rapper K4 Kheko will also feature in the movie.
BHEDIYA TRAILER
Horror Comedy Stree (2018) fame director Amar Kaushik has come on a big scale this time and the trailer is promising in every aspect. After a promising trailer, the first single ‘Thumkeshwari‘ is a chartbuster.
BHEDIYA BUDGET
Amar Kaushik who directed Stree is also the director of Bhediya, it is written by Niren Bhatt and backed by Vijan’s Maddock Films and Jio Studios. It is said to be made on a budget of 60 crores. The technical team includes Jishnu Bhattacharjee the cinematographer, Sanyukta Kaza handled the editing and the music is given by Sachin-Jigar.

MUNJHA IS THE NEXT INSTALLMENT IN THE FRANCHISE
The next instalment in the horror-comedy universe of Dinesh Vijan is Munjha. And the reports are rife that Stree (2018) lead Shraddha Kapoor will feature in the flick along with her Tara Sutaria and Vicky Kaushal will be playing the lead roles. It is also being said that the shooting will soon be going to kickstart.
